Description
New Balance has made it a habit to visit its extensive archives and give forgotten models a modern-day makeover with revivals coming left and right. The New Balance 1000, a runner initially released in 1999, is the latest to make a comeback. This retro silhouette has already seen several exciting reintroductions, including inline colorways and collaborations with renowned partners like Joe Freshgoods and Aime Leon Dore.
The New Balance 1000 Phantom Blacktop features a sleek, all-black color scheme that exudes sophistication and versatility. The upper is entirely coated in black, giving it a bold and modern look. Reflective 3M nylon lace loops add a touch of functionality and style, enhancing visibility in low-light conditions.
White accents provide subtle contrast, appearing on the N logo along the midfoot, the 1000 text near the toe, and the New Balance branding on the heel and tongue. Like other colorways, an additional panel on the tongue partially covers the lacing system and extends down to the toe.
